El Cuyo Yucatán
El Cuyo is a hidden treasure, a small fishing village that used to be a logging town in the past century. A not so yet explored destination in the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico, with amazing natural landscapes where mangroves, a turquoise blue sea and the endless tropical greens of the petrified forest reign. El Cuyo is located in the Rio Lagartos National Park, famous for hosting more than 20,000 pink flamingos during their breeding season.
It is said that El Cuyo is the last tourist destination in the Gulf of Mexico.
